I was worried about painting such detailed cavalry, but the dynamic charging poses actually make each figure easy to highlight with a brush. The horses’ rearing legs and the riders’ drawn sabers feel full of motion straight out of the box.

The poses capture the charge perfectly—each rider leans forward with his saber raised in a slightly different angle. Painting the gold lace on their green uniforms was fiddly but the detail is crisp enough to make it worth the effort.

The horses are incredibly well-sculpted, with each one in a distinct charging pose that makes the unit look like it's actually moving across the table. I was pleasantly surprised by how cleanly the riders fit onto their mounts with minimal cleanup needed.
