Quinta Macedonica. Legio Comitatensis. This was one of the older border legions raised during the time of Julius Caeser. They were mostly stationed in the Balkans and the legion survived well into the Byzantine period. Detachments were stationed in Egypt as we have records of them in the 7th Century fighting against the Islamic incursions in that period.

All shield boss holes are pre-punched.

Pre-cut - Transfer outline is perforated.

Not cut - Transfer outline is uncut.

Leo T. ★★★★★

The transfers went on smoothly over the curved shields without any silvering, even on the darker base colors. I've got enough for a full cohort of Victrix figures with this one sheet.

Aurora R. ★★★★★

The Quinta Macedonica pattern is crisp and historically accurate, which made painting these infantry shields a breeze. I appreciate having 12 transfers on one sheet, enough to finish a whole unit without running out.

Ruby ★★★★★

Finally, a sheet with enough transfers to do a whole cohort properly—12 shields gives me plenty of spares. These stuck cleanly to my Victrix figures with just a dab of water and settled into the details without silvering.
