Category: Flags and Transfers

This sheet contains 12 transfers for use with the Victrix Early Saxon Unarmoured and Armoured Early Saxon Warriors sets.

The Saxons of the 6th to 7th centuries used larger shields as they fought in more of a shield wall formation and the larger shield offered more protection.

There are two types of large round shield on the Early Saxon warriors frames. A flat surface and a slightly domed surface. The transfer sheet has a separate column for each type of shield.

All shield boss holes are pre-punched.

Pre-cut - Transfer outline is perforated.

Not cut - Transfer outline is uncut.

Zoe ★★★★★

The shield designs are nicely detailed and the reds really pop against a dark primer. I’ve used these on my early Saxon figures and the size fits the larger shields perfectly. Great variety for building a warband.

Grace L. ★★★★★

The transfers sit flat without silvering, which is the main thing I look for, and the 12 designs give plenty of variety for a whole warband. I used them on the larger 6th-7th century shields and they sized up perfectly, no stretching or blurring on the curves.

Joshua ★★★★★

These really pop once applied to the shield, giving each warrior a unique look without being a chore to cut out. I was surprised how well the transfers settled into the shield's surface, making them look painted on.
