Napoleonic French Artillery 1812 to 1815

Finally got these on the table for a refight of Borodino—the separate arm options let me pose the crew exactly how I wanted, and the howitzer barrels are a nice touch. The detail on the fringed epaulettes is crisp enough that they pop even without a wash.

The sculpting on the crew is fantastic — those fringed epaulettes are crisp and really capture the look of the 1812-15 period. Having both 6-pounder and howitzer barrels in one set makes it easy to field a versatile battery. This is the best artillery pack I’ve painted in 28mm in a while.

I was pleasantly surprised by how cleanly the 6-pounder barrels fit onto the carriage—no filing needed. The crew sculpts are crisp, though a couple of the shoulder straps were a bit delicate to clean up.
