로마 공화정 군단 (I)

These legionaries have crisp detail on the chainmail and the command group poses are full of character. I was surprised by how well the Velites fit alongside the heavier infantry to make a complete early Republic force.

The Velites are a nice bonus — I wasn't expecting such crisp detail on the javelins and shields for the price. After assembling a few test stands, the poses have enough variety to keep the unit looking dynamic on the table.

The chainmail texture on the legionaries is genuinely crisp under a brush, and the command sprue gives you enough bits to build three distinct officers without cannibalizing the rank-and-file. I spent an evening just assembling the Velites and the poses feel lively, not stiff like some older kits.
