Carolingian/Frankish round shields 1

The decals are perfectly sized for standard large round shields and go on smoothly with a little water. They bring those early medieval figures to life without looking too modern or fake.

The transfers are crisp and detailed, and they sit flat on the shield without any bubbling once you press them down. I used them for a late-9th century warband and the Frankish designs really pop against the round surface. Only note is they arrive uncut, so a steady hand with scissors is needed, but

Was a bit worried about applying them, but they go on smooth and stay put once you wet them down. The detail on these is crisp enough to look good from gaming distance, which is all I need. Perfect for giving my Frankish warband some variety without painting freehand.
