I was worried the transfers might look too flat, but the Macedonian designs have great clarity and really pop on the shields. My 28mm phalanx units look properly historical now.

The shield designs sit perfectly on my 28mm Macedonians, and the transfer film disappears completely once you apply a bit of water. I was surprised how crisp the pike-and-shield patterns stay even after sealing with varnish.

I’ve used these on a handful of 28mm Macedonians from 1st Corps and Curteys, and the detail holds up perfectly even after trimming close to the shield edge. The designs feel appropriately sized for the scale.
