The shield designs are crisp and align perfectly on the curved shields, which was a pleasant surprise. I painted the whole unit in an afternoon and they really pop on the table.

The set includes enough transfers to do a whole phalanx, and the detail on each shield design really pops when applied. I was worried about the decals being too brittle, but they slid into place smoothly with just water.

These decals go on smoothly with just water and a steady hand, no silvering around the edges. My Spartan unit finally looks the part with crisp, hoplite-style shields ready for battle. Took a bit of patience with the tiny designs, but the result is well worth it.
