ARA(W&E)1

I was pleasantly surprised at how crisp the legionary symbols printed on these 15mm transfers are—they really pop on the shields. Applied smoothly with just water, and the fit on the W&E miniatures was spot-on. A solid upgrade for any Augustan auxiliary unit.

The eagle and lightning motifs on these transfers sit crisply on the shield curves without any silvering, which is a relief at this scale. They’ve held up well under a couple of coats of varnish, and the Augustan-era designs look right at home on my auxiliary cohorts.

I was pleasantly surprised how neatly these transfers settle into the shield's contours. The variety of numeral options is great for building a whole cohort without repeats.
